This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Finance Data Cloud, Inc. ("Finance Data Cloud", "we", "us") collects through our website, forms, console and email, how we use it, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect what you send us, we use it to talk to you about our product, and we do not sell it.

1. Who we are

1.1 Finance Data Cloud, Inc. is a Delaware corporation based in New York, NY. We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy.

1.2 For any privacy question or request, write to privacy@financedatacloud.com. Requests are handled by our privacy lead, who is one of the company's co-founders.

2. Scope

2.1 This policy covers personal data about visitors to financedatacloud.com, people who submit our forms or email us, job applicants, and the business contacts and users of our customers.

2.2 It does not cover the market data we capture from exchanges and blockchains. Section 13 explains how we treat identifiers that appear in that data.

3. What we collect

3.1 Pre-registration form

When you pre-register, we collect your email address (required) and, if you choose to provide them, your name, firm, role, the plan you are interested in, the datasets and venues you select, and any notes you write. Our website forms do not send anything to our servers: they open your own email app with a message addressed to a founder, and we receive the details only if you send that email.

3.2 Contact form and email

When you send a message prepared by the contact form, we receive your name, email address, firm, the topic you chose and your message. When you email us, we receive your email address, the content of your message and anything you attach.

3.3 Job applications

When you apply for a role, we collect your name, email address, the role, the links you provide and your note, plus anything else you send us and notes our team makes during interviews.

3.4 Console accounts

Console accounts open with Phase 1. Passwords will be stored only as salted hashes.

3.5 Customer accounts

For customers, we also process billing contact details, invoices, the names and email addresses of Authorized Users, and API usage records (endpoint, key, time and volume). Card payments are handled by our payment processor, and we do not see or store full card numbers.

3.6 Technical data

Our web servers log each request with its IP address, user agent, requested URL, referrer and time. We use these logs to operate and secure the site. We do not use analytics or advertising trackers; see our Cookie Policy.

3.7 We do not ask for, and ask you not to send, sensitive data such as health information, government identifiers or financial account numbers.

11. Security

11.1 We encrypt personal data in transit with TLS and at rest. Access is limited to team members who need it, through accounts protected by multi-factor authentication. Read more on our security page.
